چکیده

Complex materials with artificial structures known as metamaterials (MTM) have unique properties that draw several scientists to use them in a variety of research fields. In addition, MTM can go beyond some the restrictions placed on tools used technical practise while improving characteristics microwaves. A Wideband High-gain Stacked Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna

Abstract—A new wideband and high-gain dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is proposed. Three cylindrical dielectric resonators (DRs) with different materials and different sizes and a metallic cylinder are designed to obtain a wideband bandwidth and a high gain. The stacked structure provides a wideband bandwidth, and the cavity formed by the metallic cylinder provides a high gain. The measured ...

Miniaturized ultra-wideband antenna using microstrip negative index metamaterial

A three left-handed metamaterial unit cell antenna is presented in this article for ultrawideband applications. Each left-handed metamaterial unit cell is a combination of a modified octagonal split-ring resonator, an octagonal spiral resonator, a capacitance-loaded strip, and a wire in order to achieve a design that simultaneously exhibits both negative electrical permittivity and negative mag...

A Compact Ultra-Wideband Bandpass Filter with Sharp-Rejection using Complementary Split Ring Resonators

A compact and sharp-rejection ultra-wideband (UWB) microstrip band-pass filter (BPF) is developed using of left handed metamaterials realized by complementary split ring resonator (CSRR). Moreover, proposed structure consists of two doublets parallel coupling gaps at each side of a microstrip ring. In comparison with some other filters, this structure shows a significantly wider passband due to...

Design of an Ultra-Wideband Antenna Using a Ring Resonator with a Notch Function

© 2013 Jung-Nam Lee et al. 1075 http://dx.doi.org/10.4218/etrij.13.0113.0472 This paper describes an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna that uses a ring resonator concept. The proposed antenna can operate in the entire UWB, and the IEEE 802.11a frequency band can be rejected by inserting a notch stub into the ring resonator. The experiment results indicate that the measured impedance bandwidth of the...

A Planar, Layered Ultra-wideband Metamaterial Absorber for Microwave Frequencies

In this paper, an ultra-wideband metamaterial absorber is designed and simulated. The proposed absorber is planar and low profile. It is made of a copper sheet coated with two dielectric layers. Each unit cell of the metamaterial structure is composed of multiple metallic split rings, which are patterned on the top and middle boundaries of the dielectrics. The designed absorber utilizes differe...
